I got glass on vista beta 2 to work well on a macbook (with 1gb of dual
channel). The glass actually worked really well. The OS actually /seemed/
faster with glass enabled. The driver i was using is pre-beta so it had worse
side effects (cant come back from sleep/hibernate) so i am going without for
now. Basically...it looks like the driver is on its way...and when it comes
it will shine with the 950.

Glass works fine if you just install the Intel Lakeport drivers.

For detailed directions, see:

http://slashstar.com/blogs/alex/arch...assGMA950.aspx

The trick is to UN-check "Show compatible hardware" and manually select the
Intel Lakeport drivers. By default you'll just get the GMA 950 drivers which
don't support Glass in Beta 2. Those instructions should work for anything
that has an Intel GMA 950 (including Toshiba M400 and MacBook). There is a
memory requirement because the display adapter steals system RAM; not sure if
you need 512 MB or 1 GB.

There is some confusion about this but it DOES work. See also:
