I had heard that the clean install on a partition was the way to go, but I
chose the upgrade installation just to see what happens. The install Failed
at the last part, when the desktop was being configured. The install Recovery
option wasnt even close to fixing the errors and allowing completion. It
seemed to me, the install went too far before discovery that it wasnt ever
going to be successful. I think The critical failure was because the
installer lost track of my hard drives. The error messages indicated
incorrect hard drive types and locations. At the time, I thought the install
just went on automatic Pilot and wasnt even looking at my bios settings?
Anyhow, The Clean install went fine, but I hope the next Beta's comes soon.
The 5384 build Is still very Slow and Clunky, I have to restart hour or so
of heavy use to keep it from stalling or freezing Up.
I think the final release of Vista Ultimate will be awsome though, and all
the MS connectivity promises will be met.
