Vista BSOD's when initially loading setup

This is wierd. Vista runs fine - albiet slow in Virtual PC 2004. However,
if I attempt to install it on a open partition, the system crashes to a BSOD
BEFORE the setup actually initializes.

Anyways, the error code is Machine_Debug_Check 0x0000009c

Whatever that means. I tried the F8 options, and it always resorts to a BSOD.

My hardware:

AMD 64bit 3200 - NOT overclocked.
a $50 gigabyte 939 socket AGP Board, with the Uli Chipset (could be my prob
right there)
ATI Radeon X850XT PE
3GB PC3200 Muskin.
um, hard drives.

4 Samsung 160GB
1 Samsung 200GB
1 Samsung 300GB

My C drive is a Sata 160GB by samsung.
Power: PC Power and Cooling 510watt Delux.
Sound: Sound Blaster Audigy 2

I dunno, though, I do think MS should put me on their official beta tester
team, since I can crash anything in a matter of minutes regardless of what
it is. must be my magical touch.
