Vista compatible fax program

Posted: 12-12-2006, 12:55 PM
Has anyone found a fax program, free, shareware or commercial, that works
with Windows Vista RTM?

Vista fax and scan is ok, but I don't intend to upgrade all our systems with
Vista Ultimate and the program is absent from other, less expensive,
versions.

Thanks.

From what I have been told in regards to the fax in my All-In-One 5510 I
will have to get whatever is necessary for the Fax from HP. I have the RTM
Ultimate installed, and my fax will not work with it.

Hope this helps.

Robert

Vista Fax and Scan is also in the Business Edition
http://www.microsoft.com/smallbusine...a/default.aspx

I think it is also included in Vista Enterprise which offers a volume
Licence based on Vista Business.

I am not sure about cost comparisons.

I am looking for a Vista compatible fax program (I have premium, and it is
not included). Winfax was great in XP, but unsupported in Vista.

Any compatible software program suggestions would be appreciated.

Vista Compatible Fax program
Posted: 01-03-2008, 05:42 PM
I used to use Winfax Pro with Windows XP to send/receive faxes directly
to/from my computer. This saved time and cut down on my paper usage. Now
with Vista, I am unale to fax to/from the computer. I must print a hard
copy, scan, then fax. A waste of paper and time. Any answers/suggestions
out there? I tried Black Ice. Their telephone people claim faxing is
"beyond the scope of their knowledge base" and the owner, Dave, does not
respond to emails.
