Default Vista DHCP Registers Prior IP Addresses in DNS?!?!?!

Help!

Everytime in Vista I am assigned an IP address it registers the current as
well as the past IP addresses assigned via DHCP. Why does the occur? How
can I stop it?

Thanks!
