Hi, I have added my vista desktop to a test 2003 domain and then a 2000
domain. But I get an error when trying to add to a NT4 domain .... can anyone
please confirm to me that this is not possible ?.
Thanks

Is that NT 4 Domain running the latest Service Pack 6a? Which directory
service are you using on that NT 4 domain to manage users and accounts?

If you've upgraded the scheme on the DC to compensate for Vista to run
properly, I believe NT4 doesn't work after that. I did exactly that with
5308 some time ago, and knocked out my virtual NT4 computer (

Actually Zack, he is trying to connect Windows Vista (client) to a NT 4
Domain Server. In the case of the schema being updated, that relates
primarily to the Windows 2000 Server and Server 2003 domains. If the issue
is related to the schema then he would not have been able to connect to the
2000 Server Domain.

Same here,
Vista 32 on an NT domain. Using the old-fashioned way to join a domain
didn't work, but using the wizard did the trick just fine.
