Default Vista Firewall does not block port 80

I have Windows Ulrtimate RC1 installed. I try blocking port 80 (inbound and
outound) for all the traffic and still can browse the Internet. In facta I am
writing this with the port "blocked". Am I doing anything wrong or it does
not work because it is an evaluation copy?

We can't really tell you whether you are doing something wrong until you
tell us exactly what you did. What steps did you take?

BTW, RC1 is WAY out of date. Why are you using a long past beta build?

I opened Firewall advanced settings and configured it to block port 80
inbound and outbound for all the network interfaces. That is all.

I got the version in Vista presentation in my country and have been using it
ever since, to get familiar with it. It will expire the 1st of June. I am
waiting for HP to send me the update

Sorry, I need more details. Can you give me EXACT steps for what you did?
There is not enough information here to figure it out.

Go to Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window. Click on Inbound
Rules. On the right side of the window Click Filter by State and select
Filter by Enabled. This will show the rules you have enabled. There should
be a link to Export List...... Click this and name the file InRuleSet and
save it somewhere you can find it. Do the same with the Outbound Rules but
call that file OutRuleSet. Attach the two files or copy and paste there
contents in your next reply. Attach would be preferred if this newsgroup
allows that. These instructions are for Vista Ultimate build 6000. Could be
different on RC1.
