Vista Home Premium - Sidebar buggy..

Posted: 01-04-2008, 05:42 AM
Whenever my sidebar activates it causes my computer to hang. All my previous
gadgets have turned into the calendars and whenever I try to delete them it
either freezes my computer or another calendar replaces the deleted one.
What do I do?

My PC is the HP Pavillion dv9000 with Vista Home Premiun

Thanks.

I had a similar problem ...

Several calendars (50 or so?) appeared on my sidebar and if I tried t
remove one, the computer would hang. Usually after one feeble beep ..

I couldn't find a way to fix this other than go to

C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets

and change the Calendar.Gadget folder to something else ... lik
BrokenCalendar.Gadge

I suppose I can't use the calendar gadget anymore

If anybody finds a more elegant solution, let me know
