Vista with Ipod?

Posted: 07-27-2007, 07:43 AM
Hello everyone, I bought a copy of Vista (home basic) upgrade recently
and someone told me not to plug in my ipod due to issues that result
in wiping out my ipod music and lists. Now I have over 5000 songs on
my ipod and arranged so freaking perfect that if I was to plug it in
and it erased it well I would go nuts!!

So is this still an issue with vista? Or did they take care of it
already?

Thanks

jupitous,

I've heard of compatibility problems between Apple iTunes and Vista, but I
can't say that I've heard of iTunes being automatically erased. Apple and
Microsoft recommend that iTune/iPod users always update to the most recent
Apple software. Take a look at this site:

The Internet has a lot of information of this topic. Google can be your
friend.

There was a problem with corrupting iPod files if you used the "safely remove
hardware" Icon in the notification tray to remove it. If you use the" eject
ipod" on the bottom right of iTunes, there is no problem. Microsoft has a fix
for this though.
