Vista , Micorosoft exchange 2003 & Outlook 2003

Posted: 02-01-2008, 04:52 PM
My office run XP, Outlook 2003 on the Exchange server no problem. I have
bought a new machine with Vista and cannot access my mail. I am connected to
the office domain and Outlook can find me on the domain but Outlook will not
connect any further, keeps asking for a password.

Please do you have any suggestions?

Can you ping the Exchange server by FQDN?

Hi Robert, I am not too technical but does that mean run a test to see
whether i can find the domain? I do not know how to run a test. All the
XP machines work perfectly withe the exchange but Vista machine will not
retieve my mail, even though it can find my account on the server.

Robert,

I'm having the same problem. I can access my pc at the office through the
VPN I installed on Vista and outlook finds my profile on our exchange server,
but I still can't get connected thru outlook. All I get is repeated requests
for my password.

I got it working

In the username box put your domain name you have set up for your
network / your name on the network...i.e.: domain\Joe Bloggs

Password: the password of the network

connect when using office 2003 on Vista via VPN. I can when I a
directly on the network at the office. It worked fine on Xp

Any help will be appreciated
