Vista MP3 do not play

not much help just an observation.

I have no problem playing MP3's in MC or WMP with Vista. Did you upgrade to
Vista or was it a clean install? If you upgraded there could be some old
..dll's or something clogging the pipes.

I did an upgrade from XP Pro. I wish I knew which files were affecting this.

I have a new, clean install and Media Player will not lay MP3's. All other
computer sounds are fine.
Othere player programs work fine.

I found the same with a clean install.

Mine doesn't work either. It did for a while. It just quit one day
somewhere back there.
