Default Vista Network Problem with Switch

I have a home network with 4 WinXP PC and one Vista PC. The network is
set up with a new TrendNet router, and 2 gigabit switches, one with 5
ports and the other with 8 ports,

The router only has 2 connections on it, a Vonage VOIP unit and a
patch coard that goes to the 8 port switch where most of the computers
are attached.

Whenever the Vista PC starts up and the user starts to browse the
internet, the network hangs for everyone except for the VOIP that is
attached to the router. If I power cycle the 8 port switch the netowrk
is again available for everyone until the next time the Vista PC
powers up and tries to join the network.

I disabled the IPv6 stack per an eariler recommendation and that
seemed to make an improvement but I claimed success too earlier. I am
still having problems when the Vista PC tries to join the network. It
doesn't hang every time but probably one out of every two. An
improvement but still not a final solution.

What else do I need to do to get the Vista PC to play well on my
network.

We had a similar case like this one. If disabling the IPV6 doesn't fix, try to re-configure the NIC speed on the Vista and or the switch if you can.

Since the switch is unmanaged with a maximum speed of 100Mbps so I
just change the network adaptor settings on the Vista computer from
auto to 100? 100 full duplex or half duplex?

Take Care
