Vista not seeing Windows 2000 Computer

Just puchased a Windows Vista Premium edition laptop, trying to get it to
connect to our server, which is a Windows 2000 machine, but am having
problems. I cant even get it to see the Win 2000 Machine. We have several
XP machines and they all show up, just not the 2000. Is there something im
missing? Can Vista see Windows 2000 machines? Thanks.

You'll be able to see other computers in Network Neighbourhood / My Network
Places. There's no LLTD Responder for Windows 2000, so the Network Map will be
a nogo.

Check all personal firewalls, and the NetBT setting, on each computer. Make
sure that it's consistent.

If no help yet, look at logs from "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from
each computer, and diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):
