Vista Premium - can't ping or see local machines

Posted: 02-16-2007, 02:29 AM
Hi,

I just got Vista Premium installed, and I can't see or ping any local
computers. I can ping and access external systems (e.g., using IE).

I've enabled NetBIOS over TCP, set fixed IP, DNS, and Gateway, and also
disabled the firewall, but still have the problem.

I don't know if this is the problem, but I was looking at the routing
table (route print), and it looks (the metric) strange:

C:\Windows\system32>route print

Can anyone tell me how I can get local network access working?

Thanks,
