Vista 'Previous Versions Tab' Missing

Posted: 01-12-2009, 07:44 PM

Hi

I'm using Vista Premium Home 64-bit and I've noticed that I have n
Previous Versions Tab available on any of my files

I tried out 'this registry fix
(http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/17...roperties.html
with no success

I also changed the services (Micrososft Software Shadow Copy and VSS
to automatic with no help

Anyone got any ideas why this tab refuses to cooperate

Cheers

Andre

Hello Andrew

You can do a '*System Restore*
(http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...store-how.html) usin
a restore point dated before the "Previous Versions" tab went missing t
hopefully fix it

Hope this helps

Hi

I don't think a system restore would help at this stage. I've had Vist
installed for a few months now, and I don't think I've ever seen th
tab

Any ideas why

Cheers

Andrew

IIRC, Home Premium doesn't include that feature. You can try this
third-party program:

Shadow Copy for Vista Home - http://www.shadowexplorer.com/

You might check the services listed in the WARNING box at this tutoria
to make sure that they are set to those default settings

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, that makes more sense

I am a bit surprised though, when I bought Home Premium it looked lik
it had that feature from this 'chart
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...s/default.aspx)
At very least it's a bit ambiguous

Thanks for the quick replies anyway

You're welcome Andrew. Yeah that doesn't appear to be real specific
