Vista requires admin rights to copy file to network share

Posted: 01-12-2008, 08:10 PM

I have a Vista Business box connected to a W2003 server.

My problem is that when I try to copy a file to a network share on th
server, Vista demands admin password to copy the file.

Vista allows to read files from a share using ordinary user rights, bu
won't allow to copy a file to a network share as an ordinary user, onl
as administrator. The networks shares are configured correctly, i
things work nicely with XP ....

Any advice on this

If it works fine with XP, that could be the UAC issue. To confirm it,
disable UAC and try it.
