Vista Scalable Desktop

Posted: 06-18-2006, 01:06 PM
I have installed vista and so far found it pretty stable with only a few
niggles. One feature I was looking forward to was the fully scaleable desktop
feature. I have a 17" monitor that can run at 1600 1200 80hz. I can't use
that resolution because it makes the display unusable.

I tried running vista at 1600 1200 and increasing dpi to large. It's better
than xp but some dialogs are still too small to read. Also some text appears
to be fuzzy. What is the difference between xp and vista dpi scaling?
