Vista slow with Verizon usb card

Default Vista slow with Verizon usb card

My sony vaio is super slow with upload and download speeds on wireless card,
and rebuffs videos every 2 seconds,replaced card with no change. Connection
is fine, just slow speeds.TIA USB720

You may want to modify the MTU. Or this search result may help.
Vista Slow Issues
Please refer to this post: Vista slow because of MTU. Disable the
Windows Explorer Navigation Pane. To do that, Click Start, and then click
Computer. ...

Thanks BoB, I'm no computer wiz, can I screw anything up with these changes?
I see there are a host of wireless issues and mod's. When I posted I was
referring to my verizon statistics, which were like 2-6kbps transmit, 0-6kbps
receive, with spikes to 20,40,60 but normally the preceding values. Do I need
someone with more puter savvy to do this? Thanks again!

Just an update... I'm saving the MTU cmd.for last, I unchecked the QoS
scheduler, and ran verizon tcp/mtu optimizer and I am now up to 59kbps up and
459 down, light years from my previous stats, but my MTU still shows
autodetect. I think there's more left. Thanks for the link's BoB.
