Vista UE comp can see but not access XP comp in the same Domain

Posted: 05-03-2007, 04:06 AM
From the Vista computer it can see a list of all the computers, but when you
attempt to connect to the XP computer you are prompted for a user name and
password. It prompts you even though you’re logged into the Vista box with an
account that is in the Domain Admins Group.

Further when you provide a valid username and password in the domain or for
the specific computer you are connecting to your prompted again. Effectively
the Vista computer cannot connect to file/print services on the XP computer.

As you might expect all other computers connect to each other just fine,
just like they should.

One other thing, the Vista computer has no problem connecting to the Domain
Controller for the domain it is a member of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for the post. But if you posted the detail of the resolution, that would be very helpful.
