| Interesting problem...set up a Vista Utimate box at home, took it to work joined our W23K domain no problems. Tried to add several different networked printers all failed with error 0.0000005 something. Did some research and discoverd you can't add a networked printer to a standard TC/IP port with UAC disabled. When I enabled UAC and rebooted the system ...no joy... system hung at "crcdisk" in safe mode. I my frustration I rebuilt the machine, but left UAC enabled everything works fine until I join the domain, which it does no problem. The problem is once I reboot I get the "configuring desktop" message it goes away and then I get a light blue screen with just the mouse cursor setting in the middle. I've let it set like this for several hours thinking it would eventualy give me a desktop ...never happens. The other strange thing is that the local administrator accout has been disabled in AD. If I enable the admin accout in AD I can log on locally to the box but am still unable to get my profile or desktop wihen I try and login to the domain. Any one have any Ideas on this? Thanks in advance | Guest
