| I use a USB external hard drive to backup my laptop. I did a windows complete pc backup on 2/13, not knowing what I was doing. I then proceeded to restore one file and learned that I had done the wrong backup. I then deleted my current backup folder on the external hard drive. Now, how do I clear out the last backup history date so that Vista knows I no long have those backup files? many thanks Russ | Guest

| We keep the last backup date in the registry for display purposes. You can ignore the text (not the best answer, but it won't hurt any future backups). It is a good idea to do a Complete PC Backup in case you ever need to rebuild your computer. I would suggest that you create another one and then hold onto it. -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
