| Well, after dl'ing 3 times to finally get a Vista img that will install, it won't. Why, because Vista upgrade advisor told me my hardware was good to go and I didnt need to install drivers for my silicon image 680 ata/raid controller. I got the green checkmark on them but when I try to install it failed and hosed my system. Had a backup but still it was a near a week old so I lost a lot of stuff. | Guest

There are NO drivers installed at the time where you choose which drive to install to. It is up to you, the operator, to supply (and install by clicking on "install driver") the drivers on a floppy, a CD or a DVD. There is just no way around this that I know of. -- Regards, Richard Urban MVP Windows Shell/User (using Vista 5384.4) Quote from George Ankner: If you knew half as much as you think you know, You would realize you don't know what you thought you knew. | Guest
