RE: Vista VPN connection error 800

After consulting with the RRAS team, my issue had to do with a conflict
between the network adapter and Virtual PC 2007's network adapters. See my
blog for more info:

Hi,

I have tried as suggested on your blog to uninstall Virtual PC 2007
and It worked!

I have tried first to uninstall the microsoft loopback but that
didn't help, only uninstalling Virtual PC 2007 and reinstall it again
I was able to use the VPN again.

I tried to post on your blog but I had to register and I only wanted
to give you a heads-up that only reinstalling VPC made the trick.

Many thanks! I have been wondering all the evening how to sort this
out...

Miguel

I am running Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition. I hav
disabled my firewall and I am connecting to my wireless router. I kee
getting an error 800 message. I also have a Windows XP deskto
connecting with an ethernet connection to my router. I am able t
successfully connect to the VPN with Windows XP. The VPN connectio
settings on XP and Vista are setup up the same. I read on other post
that there may be a port issue. I do not think this is the case for m
because then my XP machine would not be able to connect to the VPN.
messed around with the settings, and I don't know what to do, pleas
help! Thank you

Thank you so much for the help. I ended up uninstalling the firewall
had and then reinstalling it, while it was uninstalled, I tested th
VPN connection and it worked. I reinstalled the firewall and configure
the firewall for the VPN connection. I thank you for your assistance
