| I am trying to VPN to a windows 2000 server from vista ultimate. I have disabled ipv6 and yet it still connects gives me an ip address and then after abouyt a minute it disconnects me. Any ideas on why it does this? Thnaks in advance. | Guest

| Looks to be a link failure. Does this happens only when Vista m/c connects to W2K server? So you have other combinations to try like XP to W2K or this Vista client to some other server? What is the error code it returns during disconnect? Can you share logs (both client and server) to narrow down the issue: - From elevated command prompt (in case of Vista), Or from a Command Prompt (in case of W2K) run: - netsh ras set tracing * en - repro your scenario - netsh ras set tracing * dis - collect the logs at %SystemRoot%\tracing, zip it and sent it.
