Vista VPN with XP Client

Default Vista VPN with XP Client

Looking for some help getting my laptop (XP) to VPN with the work VISTA
Ultimate.
Can Ping Vista Server however cannot ping XP client.
Have checked Names, workgroups, disabled/enabled security. Is there a
VISTA/XP networking issue?

Please forgive my lack of understanding but can I get some help pinging my
PPTP IP?

If you cam access the XP, using ipconfig will give you PPTP IP. If not, go
to the Vista VPN connection, check the details.
