| You really have to say they have made it dead easy. Remember the old days pre Win95 where, if you didn't have Windows you had to make up some enormous config for the machine you were using just to do dial up and then Win95 came out and it seemed almost "point and click" easy? Well, they made Wi-Fi for Windows seem the same with Vista. One question I often get asked is "I have wi-fi and want to share my broadband with the next door neighbour but not allow them to see my computer's files. How do I do it?" and there are definitely answers for that but with Vista, it is simply answering "Public or Private" to the new network question. Sure, hackers who know what they are doing can get through that but there are people who are only stopped by not turning the computer on. However, it can be that easy to share the wi-fi to allow broadband use only and not networking. You don't even have to let people see your computer on that network. Thanks, MS, for making life dead easy. No, I am not a "Microsoft employee" etc. I am just happy that Vista networking makes XP networking look clunky. I LIKE "easy" when it doesn't also open new holes! | Guest
