2 questions..
From where did you get the program that you burned to a DVD?
How did you burn the DVD?(From an ISO or a copy)

You DID use a conversion program to do the copy and
not just copy the .iso file to the DVD, right? 8^)

Try burning the DVD at a low speed, 2x preferrably. Also try using DVD+R
media if you have access to such a drive and media for burning.

That seems to help me a lot Andre, if you burn slower, then it obviously
takes longer but there's much less chance of it screwing up )

Did you convert the ISO and when you burned it to the DVD did you make sure you also selected the Boot option like I have in Nero.

Have you tried and see the files on that DVD? Try the Setup\Install manually

I don't follow what you're saying: I didn't have to convert anything for
burning the image with Nero. I just used the "burn image" menu item, with
all default settings.

Nero did the conversion for you. The point is that some conversion has to
be done either by you manually or by your software. Some people just copy
the .iso file to the DVD then wonder why it won't boot.

Thanks folks,

I used nero to burn the image, I tried to start the installation from XP. I
selected a separate HD for the installation, but when it reboots, same error
comes out

BL initialized library failed 0xc0000017

Seems like Vista doesn't like my system....
