Vista wont start

When you say that "nothing will start at all", do you mean that Windows
doesn't even start to boot? If this is the case you have hardware failure.
If the computer is OEM (HP, Toshiba, Dell, etc.) contact the OEM's tech
support or take it to a competent local computer shop. I don't suggest
using a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place. You can certainly try to
troubleshoot the hardware yourself but since you say your knowledge of
computers "is not great", this would probably not be the best solution for
you.
