Vista working with third party SMB?

Anyone got Vista logged into Samba? Mine refuse to log in to the Samba
server.

Yeah mine shares OK with the Linux box.

You remembered to add your Vista box username / password to the smb
server? other than that turn off UAC and the firewall see if that
works. TBO I have not actually tried to read write files via the Vista
or Linux box but I can see the samba server in network places. Can't
check at the mo cos I blew Vista up with an ill conceived image
restore test so I have to re-install it now.

smb passwd -a (username)

yer know?

I also cant login to samba server.
The log shows that the username is correct but password is bad
