Vista's Windows Explorer Question

Posted: 01-29-2009, 03:52 AM
In the old Win 98 Windows Explorer status bar, it displayed in parentheses
the "Disk free space" following the selected folder's disk space useage.
However, I notice this feature is missing in Vista's (Home Edition) Windows
Explorer, and I have not been able to find reference to it in the onboard
help.

Is there somewhere that I have overlooked, maybe, where I can turn on this
feature?

Thanks in advance.

In Windows Explorer, simply click View > Status Bar. (You may need to
First click Organize > Layout > Menu Bar to make the preceding more
easily doable.)

Thanks, Bruce, but I already had gotten the status bar turned on. Re-read
my question: Any further thoughts for me?

Appreciate your responding.

Hmmm.... interesting, indeed. I wonder if this feature simply isn't
available to Vista Home Edition users. Anyone know?

Thanks for that info, though, BkStCrawler.

I have Vista Home but the 64-bit version and the Disk Free space does show
in Explorer. I would think whether 64-bit or 32-bit shouldn't make any
difference.
