| How can I reattain an icon for volume control in the toolbar (bottom right of the screen)? I tried activating it by doing the following: 1) right-clicking in the toolbar 2) selecting 'customizing notifications' 3) selecting 'always show' for volume; then apply & OK However, this does nothing. My sound is always set too low and I want it to stay at a certain level. How can I adjust it so that it always stays at that level, as well as setting the volume icon to appear in the toolbar at all times, for the convenience of a short-cut. Thanks a lot, Diane | Guest

| Has anyone figured out how to get Windows XP Pro to display the volume icon in the task tray? Don't tell me to check the box in the sound controls in the Control Panel because that does not work either. I am using a brand new Audigy sound card. | Guest
