Volume control does not play a sound

Posted: 02-16-2004, 04:49 AM
When I use my volume control on the taskbar, the internal
speaker beeps instead of the PC playing the WAV file
associated with the windows sounds. (which file does it
play out of curiosity, system beep or asterisk?)

I have all the system sound enabled, non are missing. At
times i have had the 'No Sound' preset used when i wanted
silence. So it seams it's forgotten the re enable it for
volume control.

Tim

P.S. Could anyone with a solution reply via e-mail
