volume icon

Guess i fixed my own probllem just copy sndvol32 from
I386 to your main hard drive

If you're referring to the little icon in the bottom-
right corner of the screen that gives you access to the
different volume levels, then you just need to enable it.
In your Control Panel, double-click on 'Sounds and Audio
Devices' and make sure 'Place volume icon in the taskbar'
is checked.

It's possible some 3rd party could be interfering with the volume, do you
have any other applications running?
