WebCam

Can anyone help with a launch issue regarding a Logitech
QuickCam and Yahoo? Starting the cam in Yahoo makes Yahoo
go to "not responding". The cam works stand alone. Of
course, no one is responsible on the software and or
hardware side. This is a new PC with Windows XP, it used
to work from Windows 98.

I have an Intel cs630 Webcam that works great with Windows
Millenium but does not work properly with Windows XP. I
have downloaded the XP patch for the camera, but that did
not fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been actively using various webcam services e.g.
http://www.standrews.com/webcams/. After installing the
XP, I have not been able to access the service. What
could be the problem??? Is it the XP itself which is
somehow incompatible or possibly the firewall.

Do you get any dialogue appearing referring to Java Applets (ActiveX) if yes
then you must grant permission in order to view the images. If no, then you
need to check your firewall and possibly any anti virus software you have
and determine whether you have access to Java applets enabled.

All the best.....

>Try going to Logitech's support page on their website
for a driver. If what you want to do is send video with
your webcam then may I suggest that you try a webcam
software package that makes it very easy for someone to
view your video. Go to www.seecom.com and download a
free trial version of their PVS software. You will find
it easy to use and having features such as password
protection and the ability to send images of your desktop
or video from your webcam or any other video source.
