This Audio/Video Tuning Wizard seems to be Johnathan's ONLY answer to the
PROBLEMS inherent in this version of MESSENGER when it comes to messenger
and webcams... when is he and Microsoft going to admit that they FUCKED
UP... BIG TIME... so instead of beating around the bush and pussy-footing
around all the problems with lame excuses like it's your hardware, or use
the Audio/Video Tuning Wizard, JUST FIX the FUCKING thing so we may all get
on with our worthless lives !!

Webcam Problem

I am trying to use my web cam on msn...when I send request to view I can see
myself but the other side cannot connect. And the same goes when someone
tries to send me webcam feed it says "The person" has stopped viewing webcam
with you. My firewall has been disabled. Thanks

2. Which version did the other person have?
3. Did you try it with several people of just with one person?

Greetings,

At which point doesn't it work? Are you able to use it in the Audio/Video Tuning Wizard (see
the Tools menu)? Are you able to use it in the Webcam Settings option (also under Tools)?

Greetings,

Well you can use the older webcam functionality within MSN Messenger 7 by clicking the
Actions menu, choose Audio/Video, then choose More, then Start a Video Conference.

Webcam Problem
Posted: 07-27-2005, 11:09 AM
Hi,
I have a problem with the video source in messenger.
I habe a creative webcam and a TV card.
Messenger always takes the TV Card as webcam source, i can not change
it. If I konfigure the webcam with the Audio/Video assistent I can
choose the webcam device and works fine, if the assistent is finished
and I want to start a webcam session he takes the TVcard again as
webcam source ?? Anyone an idea how to change this?

Raymond
