the Welcome Screen says "7 unread mail messages" how do u delete t

Default the Welcome Screen says "7 unread mail messages" how do u delete t

Plz tell me because it is very annoying and i just want to get rid of it so
can anyone tell me how you can get rid of that?

This works in WinXP :-

Start, Run and type regedit, then navigate to registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address] In the right pane right-click MessageCount, click Modify
and change the value to 0 (zero).
