Default What is c:windows\system32\rundll32.exe?

My firewall continuously alerts me windows\system32
\rundll32.exe, outbound, is trying to access the
internet. Does anyone know what this is? Should i allow
this program to have access to the internet? Any
assistance would be greatful...It is most
annoying......Thanks Yvonne
