What graphics card?

Posted: 01-21-2004, 02:46 PM
I don't know what graphics card to get; ATI Radeon 9000, or 9200, or a different graphics card entirely. I have a Dell Dimension 4500S w/xp if you want my dxdiag i can get it. I need a card that works well for a price less than $150

Please help, I don't know what to get

Thanks!

What do you do with yor Dell PC? Usually, the higher the number, the better
the the video card should be.

I usually use it for personal work such as word documents, internet surfing, streaming music and videos, and games. There is one game that i have and many others that I wish to buy that require a better graphics card than my current ATI Rage 128, i'm thinking about the ATI Radeon 9200 for $90. Does this sound like a good choice?

As I stated, the higher the number, the better to card. Just take into
consideration that the 9200 may now be a low end card because ATI now has
the 9800s out. If I were you, shop around for the 9600s. They may more
expensive but you could enjoy the card for a longer amount of time.

I think the ATI is better - seems to have less problems with drivers. I am
sure there are others that will disagree!
