What if I don't have my key but I have the PID ?

Hello,

Yes I admit it. I've lost the sheet of paper on which I copied down my
product key. I also do not have the e-mail. If I have my PID and I activated
my copy of Beta 2, is there anyway I can get the Product key? I figure I will
likely get an e-mail from Microsoft, but I was really hoping to install the
RC1 right away and not have to keep running 5384!

Any help is appreciated.

YOu should be able to install wihtout a key. Just click next and then NO
when you are installing.
Make sure you install Ultimate, and click the button that says you are
installing the version that matches your key. You will then have 14 days to
find your key, get a new one from MSFT, or find one on the 'Net.

For Vista x86 (but not x64 yet) try SIW 1.63. Download from
http://www.gtopala.com/siw_download.html
If it works (Vista is listed as supported) you will find your product key
under Software/Secrets (in the tree pane).

Colin, thank you. It did the trick! Yes, once I saw the key, I knew
remembered it exactly (really - Not !)

I'm so happy not to be running 5384.

A word of warning: it does not appear to work with RC1 so take good care of
that key.
