where can I download Vista Service Pack 2?

Posted: 04-26-2006, 12:41 PM
The subject is a joke...

Vista is not out of beta yet, and it already needs improvments! lol

Oh I can hear the moaning of the hundreds of thousands of people complaining
about vista...

WindowsME = Bloated unstable bad version of win98
Vista = Bloated unstable bad version of winXP

Betas ALWAYS need improvement. If they didn't they would be RTM releases.

What are you on about? Do you know what a "Beta" product is? The whole
point of a beta of Vista is that it is unfinished, that's why it's a beta.
So obviously there will be no service packs for it!

Vista is so bad that it needs service packs even before its released.

In other words vista has BASIC problems, that they will not change because
they dont have the time now to rethink them out even if they get the
feedback.

Do you get my drift?

I recently had a chance to play with Vista 5365 on a friend of mine that is
a connect beta tester. I would totally disagree with you. The software has
come a long way and I think alot of users that are currently using 5308 will
be plesantly supprised. Granted it still has some more work to be done, but
it isn't even in beta 2 stage yet.

Applied but still waiting to be accepted for the Vista Beta Testing group.
Can't wait to be able to play and help make it even better.

Curious here... What kind of issues are being found in 5365? Is there a list
of known issues for tat particular build?

Kind of, it was available with the download itself.

And Jason is correct, there have been some vast improvements in 5365,
I'm running Vista x64 on my laptop and it's almost (still not quite)
running as well as my XP install in terms of speed. There are still one
or two little things on it, but it's definitely a massive improvement.

Yeah, but MS treats RTM releases as if they are still in beta. Around
here we won't touch any new MS stuff until it has had at least one
service pack relesed for it.
