Where are the songs details stored on my hardisk

I would like to find out where the cd details are stored
in my hardisk like the artist name, song title, etc...
where does windows media player stores them after it
downloads them from the internet? Thanks for anyone that
may have the answer.

They are called ID3 tags. they are stored inside the mp3
and wma files.
