Why is the default mail icon on my Start Menu a generic icon?

Posted: 07-10-2003, 03:30 PM
I am playing around with my own little product, and I want to display
my own icon on the Start Menu, when my product is picked as the
Default Mail Option. Right now when it is picked as Default Mail, it
displays a generic icon. I followed the knowledge base article
#297878:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;297878

and added the specific registry entries for the icon to be displayed:
[HKLM\Software\Clients\Mail\LitMail\DefaultIcon]
(Default)=REG_SZ:C:\Program Files\LitwareInc\LitMail.exe,1

Any ideas on why this is not working?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Regards,
Leah
