Personally, I think most religions are rather out dated and
misguided in today's world. They all have their right to do
what they want, except demand that I pray to their version
of GOD, or that they have the duty to kill me if I don't bow
to Mecca three times a day.

I prefer to see logic, science and faith in the human mind
rather than blind faith in a "soap opera" written by men
several thousand years ago.
Does that make me Catholic?

Usama Bin Laden (who americans call Osama cos the first three letters are USA) analysis is no different to right wing domestic american analysis of America.

Jews, Christians, Catholics, and Muslims believe in the same God. They all adhere to the old testament. Muslims celebrate the birth of Jesus as they consider him a prophet. The Koran regards Jews and Christians as "People Of The Book". They are spirtually unfinished and should be treated well. They are not infidels because they are believers.

Usama believes that despite Western claims of being God fearing folk, they tolerate homosexuals, pre-maritial sex etc. So Usama believe that the West are NOT people of the book but infidels.

All he wants is infidels (self confessed ones like communists and USA who claim they're not) to piss of from his corner of the world.

Remember I am an infidel, he would kill me. A religious jew (who's not in Israel) he probably wouldn't.

Religious nutters are the same the world over.

Point is well taken and well remarked. I challenge any of you to name a
religion that has NOT killed in the name of it's God or it's destiny.

Those who masterminded the 9/11 attacks deserve protracted agonizing death.

The following is for the OP:

As far as the killing of civilians go, it occurs with every war.
"Collateral Damage" and "Acceptable Loss of Non-Combatants" are terms used
within our military to "justify" the loss of civilian life.

I spent a career in the Army, and fought in Vietnam and the first Gulf War.
It is easy for you cowardly, snot nosed little mommas boys to sit back and
accuse the Bush administration and the military and all the other "evil"
entities you point your fingers at. But where were you after 9/11? Would
you still feel that same if your parents had died in the collapse of the
towers? Have you ever had the silver spoon out of your mouth long enough to
realize that you are literally owed nothing? You EARN it.
When I think of all the good men we lost in Vietnam, and the men we have
lost in both operations in the Persian Gulf, I want to cry. But I don't
take the cowardly route and sit on my ass like you have. You are not even
worth one drop of the blood shed by American soldiers. You are an
insignificant speck of fly-shit, and if I were to ever meet you on the
street, I would most likely want to spit on you.
