Why does the "automatic updates" window show me updates not on windowsupdate.com

?

can someone please help me understand how the automatic
windows update feature I enabled on my computer can show
me updates which can not be found on the windows update
site? For example, today I noticed 5 security updates in
the automatic updates window but when i logged on to
v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com, I found that none of the
updates in the automatic updating window were displayed
on the website. If you can help me understand how and
why this is possible, i will greatly appreciate it.
