If I will use GUI disabled,
will vista work on
p3 1.2ghz, 512mb ram, 16mb video card?

shouldn't be a problem
as long as your video card will support vista

And will I experience a bit of slowness with this configuration
in comparison to xp?
Or will the perforamce be just like what it is on xp?

Well what I mean is a 16mb video card is probably at the low end of what you
could use.
I have vista installed on a pc with a 1ghz cpu and 512mb of ram with a 64mb
video card
it doesn't give me aero glass only the basic GUI
how ever vista does run faster on that particular PC than Xp does
That was only an experiment on my son's pc but I was quite pleased with the
results
