will not 'Copy To'

I am attempting to use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer which is a part of
WinXP Home to view some images (big JPGs, about 3MB each) I have downloaded
onto my PC from my digital camera. I can view them OK but if I attempt to do
anything with them I am prevented. For example, some need to be rotated
through 90 degrees clockwise. If I do this using the button at the bottom of
the screen then the image rotates and looks fine. If I try to store the
rotated image I am prevented and given the following error message -

"Failed to save to the specified location. Make sure the file is not
write-protected and there is enough space on the drive to save the image.
Copy To Aborted."

Even if I do not rotate the image but just try to re-save it to a new
location I get the same error message.

Needless to say the files are not write protected and there is plenty of
space. I have absolutely no idea why it is doing this. I would appreciate
any advice. Thanks in advance. Please reply to the group.
