How to use the Norton SystemWorks cleanup utility (SymClean)
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...01101612274407

Download and run the above cleanup utility, reboot your computer.

Reinstall Norton Internet Security (version 2002 or 2003 only).

| I just upgraded from Win 98se to Win XP Home. While
| prepping the machine for the upgrade, I turned off but did
| not uninstall Symantec Internet Security. I uninstalled
| Norton Antivirus. Win XP scanned the machine and noted
| not software conflicts.
|
| Having successfully completed the upgrade, when I click on
| Internet Security I get a blank dialog box. I also cannot
| seem to re-install Norton Antivirus.
|
| Any ideas on this one? I would prefer not to have to
| uninstall Win XP just to uninstall Symantec Internet
| Security only to reinstall Win XP.
|
| Thank in advance!

You shouldn't have to do a re-install of Windopws, but cleaning up Norton
AntiVirus, as described above, is probably what you need to do. Because of
the deep-down nature of such utility and AV applications, they must be
closely tied to the operating system, and unravelling these strings can be a
problem when you change operating systems on some systems.
