Default Win-XP can not read Win-95?

17:23 7-06-03

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone can help me with this probleem I
have with my Windows-XP Pro; Not being able to reading from
my Windows-95 CD-rw's, to it!?(To the Windows-XP recorder)

My problem is just the Opposite of the Below mentioned as
you can notice!(Which Does work)

Thus, It Can read in Windows-95 from Windows-XP
Pro(CD-rws). But Not the other way around.

So if I Save/Copy to CD-rw in Windows-95, It Does/Will Not
read and see it in Windows-XP Pro.(Only in some cases I can
see folders and some other things/files, thus not the
majority that is on the CD-rw. Which is 'Invisible!')

But, if I Save/Copy to CD-rw in Windows-XP Pro, it has no
problem reading and seeing it in Windows-95.

Further more, I have no problems when Burning to
disc(CD-r), in both Windows-XP Pro and Windows-95. They Can
both read what is burnt to CD-r.

Thank you in advance.

SYMPTOMS:

When you copy files or folders to a compact disc-recordable
(CD-R) or a compact disc-rewritable (CD-RW) by using a
compact disc recorder, you may experience one or more of
the following symptoms:

The disc recording is consistently unsuccessful. You cannot
read the disc by using Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft
Windows 98, but you can read the disc in Windows XP.
You cannot read the disc in an MP3 player, but you can read
the disc in Windows XP.
You are able to read the disc in an MP3 player, but not all
of the files on the disc are available. However, all of the
files on the disc are available when you read the disc in
Windows XP.
When you add files or folders to a disc that already
contains data, some files are lost. This may occur if one
or both of the following conditions exist:
A file is added to the disc, and the name of the file is
the same as the name of a folder that was already on the
disk.
-or-
A folder is added to the disc, and the name of the folder
is the same as the name of a file that was already on the
disk.
