Win XP Home does not detect MSNetwork

Posted: 09-28-2003, 05:32 AM
After successfully getting communications up between our
Win95 and 98SE computers over a LinkSys Wireless Access
Point Router, Windows XP Home will not recognize the
network. Internet sharing (from the router) works fine on
all machines, and pinging is successful for all three
machines.

I've followed several different troubleshooters and
networking guides to no avail. I cannot use Static IP
addresses (the router comes with a DHCP server) or else I
lose the shared internet connection. Some network
software (Remote Administrator [http://www.radmin.com])
works fine over the network, so the connections are
present.

Is this a problem with XP Home's extra security? Or could
it be caused by Internet Security Software such as Norton
Internet Security?
