Win XP install - won't stop popping up

Help Someone please. For some reason my computer keeps
trying to Install Windows XP when I start up my computer,
when I click on a browser shortcut, open a
program...whenever it feels like it. This happens about
10 times a day. I am going batty as I can not figure this
one out. I have done a virus check, looked in my start up
folder and nothing.
